Morawiecki voiced condition for Poland-Kiev reconciliation

Full reconciliation of Warsaw and Kiev is possible only after finding the remains of all the victims of the Volyn massacre – as stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, TASS reports

Commenting on the information that a common grave of its residents killed by Ukrainian nationalists was found near the village of Putniki in the Ternopol Region of Ukraine, the Head of the Polish Government said, “There can be no complete Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation without finding all the remains of the victims of the Volyn massacre. We must close this painful topic in the history of the two peoples.”

Mr. Morawiecki confirmed that a request for exhumation was sent to the Ukrainian Government. According to preliminary information, bodies were buried without coffins in several layers, most of those killed were women.
