Mishustin: Russian and Belarusian governments work hard to implement Union State Treaty
Russian and Belarusian government work diligently on implementing provisions of the Union State Treaty, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers today, November 5th, in Minsk
“Governments of Russia and Belarus are hard at work implementing the Union State Treaty. We have finished the main projects of the last three years, along with 28 joint programmes, in January. That was a robust foundation for our co-ordinated macroeconomic policy in industry and agriculture. Next, we started to develop common competition rules for the transport market, among other things. We need all that to set up our common economic space,” Mr. Mishustin said.
The Russian PM reminded everyone about new targets set by Presidents of Russia and Belarus at the Union State Supreme State Council summit in St. Petersburg last winter.
“This year and for the next two years after, it is key for us to focus on deepening our integration in industry, agriculture, energy, logistics, taxation, and customs, as well as in science, education, culture, and other areas,” he said.
“About one sixth of them have already been completed. I believe we are moving at a decent speed already, but we should move faster,” added the Russian PM.

31 action plans containing over 300 objectives have been approved in order to achieve those joint goals.
