Mezentsev: Union State supranational structures demonstrate equality of Belarus and Russia

Successful Union State integration naturally arouses interest among other countries – as stated by State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, speaking at the plenary meeting of the CIS International Economic Forum: From Dialogue to Joint Projects in the CIS, EAEU, SCO

“Integration is deepening both in words and actions. Thus, we have established the Union State Customs Committee. When this issue was discussed back in 2018-2020, everyone definitely had certain anxious feelings, if not doubts, on whether we’ll able to achieve complete openness in the dialogue between customs services and in traceability of cargo movement from Brest to Vladivostok. How will a single seal work that is placed on containers coming from other countries? All these issues have been successfully settled,” said Dmitry Mezentsev.

The establishment of a supranational tax system is the next step in our integration.

“It may seem that such sensitive, completely closed systems are opening up today within the Union State framework, thus supporting and confirming the principle of equality of our countries,” summed up Dmitry Mezentsev.

The State Secretary is sure that the example of Belarus and Russia will arouse interest among other countries, “We do not force anyone to do anything. However, a successful example is an incentive for more partners to appear and for experience to be in demand.”
