Media: long A&E waits leading to about 50 deaths a day in UK

Around 50 British medical patients are dying every day due to waiting for care at hospitals that cannot cope with the influx of patients, TASS reports citing The Times

It is noted that the influx of patients is associated with the seasonal outbreak of influenza. At the same time, according to Tim Cooksley of the Society for Acute Medicine, ‘this was predictable and inevitable given that hospitals were bursting at the seams the ‘quad-demic’ of winter viruses hit’.
