Media: homegrown ballistic missile programme intensifying in Poland
Poland is rapidly developing its own ballistic missile, TASS reports
According to Business Insider, the defence concern PGZ (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa) and the Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 aviation facility are working on the project. Based on the official version, this is exclusively a scientific project, and the working name of the product is ‘a three-stage rocket system for launching research cargo’.
Referring to the opinion of experts, the source noted that with small design changes, the missile being created can become a powerful weapon, including in the field of air defence. It is planned to have a solid-fuel engine, which will allow the rocket to reach an altitude of 100km.
Business Insider added that Poland is trying thus to demonstrate that it is a large-scale military force not afraid to invest in its own defence and possessing a huge military potential.
