Lukashenko: we don’t need to compete – let’s work together
Belarus is not going to compete with Russian producers, but encourages them to work for the common benefit – as noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at a meeting with Governor of Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region Aleksei Russkikh
The Belarusian Head of State noted that, as he is reported, the 2024 budget of the Ulyanovsk Region will be aimed primarily at the implementation of social programmes, technological development and infrastructure expansion, “These are tasks that fit well with the topics that I have already outlined. If you need our support, you can count on us. I don’t think we need to compete. We need to join forces today. We have someone to compete with. Therefore, let’s work together. If you have any questions or problems, speak frankly and directly. Today we’re ready to make any decisions that interest you.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that Aleksei Russkikh feels comfortable in Belarus, as if at home, “At least you feel that this is not a foreign land, not a foreign country to you. We guarantee you that we will always be committed not only to integration, but also to our unity across all areas.”
