Lukashenko visiting Planar JSC
The President is visiting Planar JSC in Minsk today – to be reported there on the company’s financial and economic state and prospects for its development. Aleksandr Lukashenko will get acquainted with the promising developments of optical-mechanical precision technological equipment built using laser technologies. The issues of microelectronics development in Belarus will be then discussed.
Last June, at a meeting on the state and development of microelectronics, the President noted that political pressure and trade wars had turned into a hybrid confrontation. “We daily have to fight for the country’s sovereignty and security, while simultaneously increasing our competencies. We can fully rely only on ourselves and friendly countries – such as Russia. Against this background, giving a new impetus to the development of the microelectronic industry is more relevant than ever,” he said then.
Planar Holding is involved into research and production activities dealing with development and production of special technological equipment for the microelectronics industry. It includes laser-optical, optical-mechanical, control and measuring equipment, as well as equipment for the assembly of semiconductor devices, integrated circuits and other electronic and medical devices.
Last year, the sales revenue reached Br57,476 thousand (121 percent against the 2021 figures). The return on sales made 12.7 percent, and export growth rates stood at 169 percent. By the end of 2022, the average salary at the enterprise increased by almost a quarter.
