Lukashenko to students: education in Belarus is no worse than abroad, this fact needs no proof
At today’s meeting with students of humanitarian universities at the Minsk State Linguistic University, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko advised young people to decide as early as possible whether they had chosen the profession correctly. At the same time, the Head of State noted that education in Belarus is no worse than in foreign universities.
“There are no doubts that our education is not worse [than elsewhere], and this fact needs no proof. Actually, we are teaching young people for our country,” the Head of State addressed students. “It is important that you initially decide on your path – after the first year [at the university], especially with regard to practice-oriented disciplines which envisage working in fields and at factories. Decide while there on whether you have made a correct decision. Practice is needed starting from the first year of studies, or at least from the second year – for you to understand whether you are capable or not [for a certain job]. If are mistaken with your choice, then reorient yourself faster and get engaged into the sphere you like. The Lord will extend His hand to those who are most willing and who are able. Take action!”
Aleksandr Lukashenko advised young people not to rush to leave the country, since Belarusians will always be second-rate abroad. “As you can see, the country has not collapsed without those who left [fugitives]. Be of use and carry your business on in the country where you were born. Ours have been achieved through the people’s sufferings. There are huge opportunities in the country today, and there are spheres where you can use your abilities.”
