Lukashenko stated growing need for Belarus, Poland to return to normal relations

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Poland on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Despite various difficulties, fate has destined our peoples to live side by side, strengthen co-operation and friendship, common Christian and cultural heritage, and broad ties in various industries. Today’s geopolitical and regional upheavals, the victims of which are ordinary people, once again remind us of the high price of peace and confirm the irreversibility of maintaining mutually respectful and good-neighbourly relations,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that this is why Belarus is doing everything to simplify travelling, create additional opportunities for recreation, visiting relatives and friends, establishing useful economic ties.

“Step by step, as more and more Poles come to our country under the visa-free regime, people’s diplomacy is strengthening, and the need to return to normal relations at the interstate level is growing. I believe that soon this natural need of both societies will be realised. Minsk is ready to continue working in this direction,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The President wished all residents of neighbouring Poland strong health, kindness, and happiness and invited them to hospitable Belarus.
