Lukashenko outlined priority measures to de-escalate global tension
During his speech at the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko announced a range of priority measures aiming to de-escalate global tension
Firstly
In order to really defuse the situation and create conditions for dialogue, it is necessary to withdraw US nuclear weapons from the territory of the Eurasian countries. “This deadly arsenal is an anachronism of the Cold War. Then we won’t stay away either...,” the Head of State stressed.
Secondly
“It is necessary to eliminate the practice of applying illegal sanctions without direct decisions of the UN Security Council and create an effective mechanism of international legal guarantees that prevent the use of such a method of pressure,” the Belarusian leader said.
Thirdly
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, a new contractual and legal mechanism should be developed to create a transparent and understandable control regime for new deadly technologies capable of destroying the entire mankind without nuclear weapons: lasers, hypersound, quantum and electromagnetic systems and other advanced developments with properties not fully studied.
Fourthly
An entire industry is also developing uncontrollably in the cybersphere, aimed at creating and implementing malicious solutions with global consequences.
“No nuclear weapons are needed. It is necessary to adopt an international legal act on cyber non-aggression, which implies the rejection of the use of these weapons against each other, as well as the formation of a system of control over their development and use,” the President noted.
