Lukashenko on Ukraine’s reaction to drone incident: diplomats will not allow themselves to do this
In an interview with Rossiya TV channel, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko commented on the reaction of the Ukrainian side to the incident with drones flying into Belarus
Answering the question of journalist Yevgeny Popov whether the Ukrainian rudeness will end, the Head of State noted that it has been going on since the days of the Studio Kvartal 95 [TV entertainment company co-founded by Volodymyr Zelenskyy], “Real diplomats will not allow themselves to do this, even if there is nothing to discuss. This is the first point. Secondly, diplomats constantly say what they do not think. There is something to discuss. We immediately received signals from those who responsibly conduct politics, from the Ukrainian military. They showed concern.”
The President recalled that Ukrainian troops had been additionally redeployed to the Belarusian border after the republic began to carry out the relevant work. “I believe we should make sure that everything has been thought over in advance. If a moment or an H-hour comes, then every unit and battalion must go out and take their position. Our brigades are known, and our battalion tactical groups are known (there will be more than 20 of them on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border). This is necessary to prevent a breakthrough. We have done it, and they have seen it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
