The Head of State drew attention to the fact that Belarus and the Bryansk Region have similar land and climatic conditions, “We know that the Bryansk Region is the leader in Russia in the production of certain types of agricultural products, and it sets records for potato and grain (rye and triticale) yields. Animal husbandry has reached a good level. This is also one of our priorities and a wide field for joint activities.”

The delegation of the Bryansk Region is planning to visit the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation today. As noted by the President, this is a unique production complex where high-quality animal feed is produced. Production of veterinary drugs and equipment for animal husbandry will be launched here in the future. “We are ready to expand the supply of food and other goods, absolutely without interfering with your producers or even competing with you. We need to combine our capabilities in the vast Belarusian-Russian market,” he said.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, scientific co-operation in the agro-industrial sector has great prospects. “Seed production, testing of plant varieties and breeding are already conducted by our scientists as part of their co-operation with the Bryansk Region. We would like these joint projects to expand, with a serious focus on practice. Not only theory, but also practice is needed,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
