Lukashenko: goals of special military operation already fulfilled, Ukraine of the future will not dance to the US tune
The goals of the Russian special military operation have already been fulfilled, and Ukraine of the future will not dance to the tune of Americans – as noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, BelTA reports
The Head of State was asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had told him under what circumstances he would consider that the goals of special military operation were fulfilled for Russia.
"You know, we have not discussed the topic with him in this spirit, but I dare to express my position. The goals of the special military operation have already been fulfilled. Ukraine will never behave so aggressively towards Russia after the end of this war as it did before the war. Ukraine will be different. Firstly, it will be governed by more cautious, smarter, or even more cunning – if you want – people. These will be sensible people, who will understand that neighbours are God-given, and it is necessary to build relationships with them," the President said.
"I am convinced of that. Ukraine of the future will also not dance to the tune of Americans, as I understand. I am absolutely convinced that Putin thinks the same way. I think that’s how he understands this process. This is a big lesson (what is happening) not only for Ukraine, but also for Russia, for us, for the whole world. This is a big lesson, and we – including Russia – are learning from it,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
