Lukashenko demands to raise Vitebsk Region to new level
Appointing Igor Brylo to the post of Aide to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Aleksandr Lukashenko particularly underlined that he should perceive this appointment correctly
“If you perceive it as exile, this is your problem. You need to go through this stage. And if you take it firmly there, then there will be a result, and for you personally it will be a very useful result. As a scientist, even I would say, as an ideological worker with practical experience, you have everything to succeed. But now you need to come down to the ground if you want to continue working. Where can you go? There is still a long way to go before your retirement... Therefore, you need to get to work and show the result. This is my offer to you.”
At the same time, the Head of State noted the diligence of Igor Brylo, “You are a soldier and you act like a soldier, and I really appreciate it. But your new position doesn’t envisage the replacing of the governor. He understands who has come. After all, the minister has come, and he understands this perfectly well. But it is not necessary to put pressure on him and deal with his functions. Focus on personnel issues. You are an inspector in charge of personnel issues. Well, I have been informed, and you adhered to such a point of view, that the person in charge of agriculture in the Vitebsk Region is really good at his job. Look at him, too. In general, personnel assessment and personnel issues are your sphere of responsibility.”
The President stressed that the Aide always has the opportunity to contact him directly, “You know, I often go there. At any time, you can either call or report, but the Vitebsk Region must be put in the place where it should be. The situation is not easy, you understand it better than anyone, and you yourself were responsible for it. Therefore, you need to work there with full dedication.”
