Lukashenko congratulates Laos President Thongloun Sisoulith on Republic Day
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, has congratulated President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith on the Day of the Proclamation of the Republic – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Despite the geographical remoteness, friendly and time-tested relations have developed between Minsk and Vientiane. Mutually beneficial co-operation in a bilateral format and on international platforms facilitates the sovereign development of our countries,” the Head of State noted.
The message of congratulations says that Belarus is keen to significantly expand the range of goods and services supplied to the Lao market, including to strengthen food security and train qualified specialists across various fields.
“Belarus and Laos can be a reliable point of support for each other to enter the space of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations,” Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence.
