Lukashenko congratulated Yamandu Orsi on his election as President of Uruguay

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Yamandu Orsi on his election as President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"The sovereign people of Uruguay have demonstrated a high level of confidence in the course aimed at the consistent socio-economic development of the country and the strengthening of its international authority. It is in this direction that the state will move in the next five years under your leadership," the message of congratulations reads. "You can count on Belarus as a reliable and responsible partner interested in building relations with Uruguay based on mutual understanding and respect for the effective protection of the independence of the two countries and the maintenance of a just world order."

"I am convinced that your activities will contribute to the intensification of co-operation between Minsk and Montevideo in areas of mutual interest, and the expansion of joint work in the international arena," the President noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Yamandu Orsi good health and the implementation of all plans in his responsible government position.
