Lukashenko congratulated Putin on Russia Day
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on Russia Day – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
“This holiday has become for all Russians a symbol of national unity and pride, faith in a better future for their great country, which boasts a rich history and unique cultural heritage,” the congratulatory message reads. “Today, the Russian Federation firmly defends national its interests and creates conditions for sovereign development, consistently strengthening its position in the international arena. Your commitment to the ideals of justice, your high responsibility for the fate of the state, as well as your desire to ensure security have received the universal support of different generations of Russian citizens. I’m convinced that relations between Minsk and Moscow, sealed by centuries-old bonds of friendship and brotherhood, will continue to steadily expand and deepen through our joint efforts.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin strong health, successful implementation of all plans and undertakings, and peace and harmony to the people of Russia.
Congratulatory messages from the President of Belarus were also sent to Prime Minister of Russia, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State Mikhail Mishustin, Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Vyacheslav Volodin.
