Lukashenko congratulated Interior Ministry’s SOBR active and retired employees on 25th anniversary of unit’s formation

On June 29th, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, congratulated servicemen and veterans of the Special Rapid Response Unit (SOBR) of the Interior Ministry on the 25th anniversary of the formation of this unit, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“For a quarter of a century, the SOBR has been fighting uncompromisingly against organised crime, protecting public safety and Belarus’ national interests. Every day soldiers of the special forces, without retreating a step and sometimes risking their lives, on land, in water and in the sky, perform service and combat tasks – unique in their functionality and complexity – protecting the peaceful creative work of Belarusians,” the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed his conviction that the legendary squad, being an example of true patriotism, courage and bravery, will continue to faithfully serve the country and the people.

“I thank all veterans and active fighters who have made serving the Fatherland their profession and life vocation. I wish you all strong health, happiness, well-being and good luck, as well as peace and kindness to your families,” the President expressed his wishes.
