Head of Belarus President Administration laid wreath at Eternal Flame in Moscow in honour of Independence Day

On July 1st, the Head of the Belarus President Administration, Dmitry Krutoi, laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Kremlin’s Alexander Garden to honour Independence Day

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, other integration bodies, alongside Belarusian and Russian diplomats.

“It is a great honour for me to complete my work as Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia right here, on Red Square, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, on such a significant day on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazis,” the Head of the President Administration underlined. “We have prepared a large-scale programme of events for this date, and this is one of my strongest impressions during my work in the Russian Federation, namely the joint work on patriotic education that we are conducting with the Russian regions. Signing the main directions of our Union State integration for a three-year period, the two presidents highlighted this block, which is connected with the anniversary of Belarus’ liberation and the anniversary of Great Victory next year. Therefore, our task is to develop all this, multiply it and definitely involve young people in this.”

The participants of the ceremony also laid flowers at the Minsk – Hero City and the Brest Hero Fortress memorial signs, installed on the alley of hero cities in the Alexander Garden. The ceremony ended with a solemn march of the honour guard company to the sounds of a military band.
