Lukashenko confirmed Belarus' interest in developing constructive co-operation with Romania
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, congratulated the people of Romania on National Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
"This holiday symbolises the numerous successes of your country and the strength of the unity of its citizens," the congratulatory message reads. “The destinies of our peoples are very similar. Having endured severe trials and great losses in the 20th century, Belarusians and Romanians take care of their own history, honour the culture and traditions of their ancestors, and strive to coexist in harmony with their neighbours."
As noted by the President, in more than three decades of diplomatic relations, Minsk and Bucharest have come a long way, having achieved significant progress in multifaceted co-operation, establishing an open friendly dialogue at various levels.
"I am sure that invaluable human connections are at the heart of any successful partnership. I confirm my interest in developing constructive co-operation and invite you to visit Belarus more often to make sure of the hospitality and goodwill of its residents," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The Belarusian leader wished the Romanian people happiness, peace and prosperity.
