Lukashenko: common feat of Mongolian and Soviet peoples will forever remain in our hearts

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and the citizens of this country on the 85th anniversary of the victory at Khalkhin Gol, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Thanks to the courage and heroism of Mongolian and Soviet soldiers, among whom there were many Belarusians, it was possible to repel the offensive of the Kwantung army and preserve the territorial integrity of Mongolia. The common feat of the Mongolian and Soviet peoples will forever remain in our hearts. It is necessary to cherish the memory of the valour of the heroes who fought shoulder to shoulder against Japanese militarism for the sake of peace and confidence in the future for their descendants," the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, veterans and citizens of Mongolia good health, well-being and peace.
