As noted by the Belarusian leader, Kuwait is an important partner of the republic in the Middle East region. “We highly appreciate your country's commitment to the peaceful settlement of conflicts and crises, as well as humanitarian efforts in the international arena. This is in line with our peaceful initiatives to launch a broad international dialogue on principles and guarantees of security,” he said, adding that Belarus is ready to make every effort to build up trade, economic and investment partnership in all areas.

In turn, the Dominican Republic is viewed by Belarus as a promising partner in Central America and the Caribbean. “At the same time, we consider the economic vector to be the most important and mutually beneficial one. We are open to any form of co-operation. I suggest starting with the creation of an effective contractual and legal framework, and I am convinced that the agreement on the mutual cancellation of visas, which is planned to be signed, will not only revive tourism, but also become an important impetus for the activation of bilateral relations," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The Head of State added that the country is attentively observing how Uruguay is developing, “I am sure that the successful holding of the upcoming presidential elections in October this year will multiply the existing achievements of your country. Belarus will always support the choice of the Uruguayan people.”

Belarus is interested in intensifying co-operation in the political and economic spheres, and this could be facilitated by the signing of an agreement on the mutual abolition of visas. As noted by the President, Belarus in this regard counts on an active position of the ambassador in building effective and trusting bilateral contacts.

Addressing the diplomats, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, “Old friends and new partners interested in strengthening and developing relations with our country are always welcome in Belarus. I know for sure that no distances can be an obstacle for real friendship. We are open to new ideas and are focused on the implementation of the most ambitious projects.”

The President wished the heads of diplomatic missions successful work and expressed confidence that their stay in Belarus would be comfortable, their work – productive, and co-operation – mutually beneficial, “We sincerely welcome you to Belarus, dear friends!”
