Lukashenko: Belarus-Nicaragua interact through political dialogue and economic projects

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Nicaragua Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra and the fraternal people of this country on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Nicaragua is one of the countries in Latin America that, despite incessant external pressure, continue to defend their national interests and pursue an independent policy," the message of congratulations reads.

The Head of State expressed satisfaction that the Belarusian-Nicaraguan co-operation, based on similar values and views on the world order, is today characterised not only by an active political dialogue, but also by economic projects beneficial for both countries.

"I am aware of your plans to visit our region, and I hope that you will find the opportunity to visit Belarus to personally get acquainted with our hospitable, friendly country," the President noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra good health and further success, also wishing peace and prosperity to the people of Nicaragua.
