Kremlin Aide believes only NATO forces capable of blowing up Nord Stream pipelines

Only NATO forces were capable of carrying out a terrorist attack on the Nord Streams — Ukraine has neither the equipment nor the specialists to do so, Russian Presidential Aide, Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev said, TASS reports

“Even Danish naval authorities do not hide the fact that American ships were in the area of the explosions the day before. At the same time, anyone interested in the capabilities of foreign navies knows that the Ukrainian Navy has neither equipment nor trained specialists to carry out a deep-sea terrorist attack. Only special purpose units of NATO members could carry out a sabotage of that scale,” he said.

According to Mr. Patrushev, it is known for certain that US and UK special services have combat swimmers and appropriate equipment. “Therefore, the calls of Chancellor [of Germany] Scholz to conduct an allegedly unbiased investigation, with some Ukrainians blamed for the sabotage, sound ridiculous. The US is deliberately depriving Germany of Russian energy resources so necessary for its development, while the current German leadership is playing along with those who are actually destroying the German economy,” stated the Russian Presidential Aide.
