Karpenkov told about reinforced groups of internal troops on the border and creation of new special forces battalions
The situation inside the country and outside it is under the full control of the entire security bloc of Belarus. In the border area, six reinforced groups of internal troops, as well as a SOBR unit, operate in all difficult areas, performing tasks to protect the state border, railways and strategically important objects. The internal troops, being in high combat readiness, perform a wide range of daily service and combat missions.
Such information was voiced on June 15th, during a visit by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry of Belarus Nikolai Karpenkov to the Internal Troops Department of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the BLIK Telegram channel, speaking to cadets and teachers, the Major General touched on the topic of creating new and improving existing military units. In particular, Nikolai Karpenkov said that a special forces battalion will be created in military unit 3310, the status of a similar battalion of military unit 7434 has already been assigned, and special forces squads continue to develop in formations and military units of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions.
Moreover, according to the Commander, the internal troops are strengthening their military potential by holding meetings of conscripts and volunteers at their base and improving the skills of active servicemen of all categories.
