Iran, Sudan to restore diplomatic relations

Following the results of contacts between senior officials, Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced the resumption of diplomatic relations with Sudan, TASS reports

In its Telegram channel, the Foreign Ministry reported on a new plan of action between the two states, “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Sudan have decided to resume diplomatic relations in order to meet the interests of the two countries. The governments agreed to develop friendly relations based on mutual respect for sovereignty, equality, and common interests.”
