First F-35 fighter jets for Poland may be ready in November 2024
In November-December of this year, the first F-35 fighter jets purchased by the Polish authorities in the United States will be delivered for training Polish pilots, TASS reports
The inspector of the Polish Air Force, General Ireneusz Nowak, said in his talk with the Polsat TV channel, “We expect that the first Polish [F-35] aircraft will be delivered to train our pilots in late November or early December of this year."
It is noted that the training of the first F-35 Polish fighter pilots will begin in September at Eglin Air Base in the US state of Florida. By the end of the year, they will be sent to the base in Ebbing.
Earlier, at the end of January 2020, the Polish authorities concluded an agreement with the United States on the acquisition of 32 fifth-generation F-35 fighter-bombers. The total value of the contract made $4.6bn.
