Expert said Americans are tired of US foreign policy
Americans have become disillusioned with the foreign policy of the United States – as noted by Vladimir Vasiliev, chief research fellow at the Institute of the US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in his talk with the Soloviov Live TV channel
According to the expert, it’s all about ‘overseas adventures’ that ‘cost the country too much’.
“Today, America is dominated by fatigue and disappointment in the US foreign policy role. Participation in any overseas adventures, as often happens, costs the country too much. The US logistics support does not correspond to its global role,” noted Vladimir Vasiliev.
The expert drew attention to the fact that today the United States is faced with many economic, as well as social problems.
“Trains that go off the rails, collapsing infrastructure, millions of homeless people on the streets... In general, there is some sense of decline in morality. The country seemed to have fallen into decay,” stated Vladimir Vasiliev.
Earlier, political scientist, Americanist, author of the first Russian-language biography of Trump, Kirill Benediktov, said that the American society is divided, but at least half of the population understands the erroneous course of the current US President, Joe Biden. Most of the American media, the expert added, are controlled by the Democrats in power, so it is not easy to find information about problems in the United States on the pages and portals of such media, although in fact they exist, and they are quite serious.
