Expert: results of Polish elections showed that Poles do not want to live under dictatorship of pro-American regime
The results of the parliamentary elections in Poland showed that ordinary Poles no longer want to live under the dictatorship of the pro-American Duda-Morawiecki regime – as stated by Aleksei Avdonin, an expert at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with the ONT TV channel
According to the final results of the parliamentary elections held on October 15th, the ruling Law and Justice party got 194 of the Sejm’s seats, the opposition Civic Coalition alliance – 157, the Third Way coalition – 65, and The Left – 26. The coalition of nationalists and Eurosceptics – Confederation – received 18 seats.
“The results of the Polish elections demonstrated the correctness of our President. Poles have figured everything out, and they no longer want to live under the dictatorship of the pro-American Duda-Morawiecki regime. The main thing is that Donald Tusk and a new coalition led by the Civic Platform justify the hopes and trust of ordinary Poles and act in the interests of united Europe – from Lisbon to Vladivostok," Mr. Avdonin said.
The expert stressed that the elections in Poland ‘had become the dirtiest election campaign in the European Union’, “The parties poured out tonnes of mutual insults and accusations. The OSCE preliminary report says that the ruling Law and Justice party had a clear advantage during the parliamentary elections, abusing the state media and resources. PiS used intolerant, xenophobic and misogynistic rhetoric. In violation of international law, Warsaw refused entry to Poland to Belarusian MP Denis Karas as part of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly election observation mission. Do you remember how OSCE recommended Minsk to cancel the election results and appoint re-elections in November 2020? Let OSCE now give Poland such recommendations. Warsaw has plenty of violations.”
