Expert explained why Poland is called ‘hyena of Europe’
The media reported that the Polish authorities demanded to vacate the school building at the Russian Embassy in Warsaw, considering that its activities do not relate to consular and diplomatic purposes. Moscow called such actions brazen. Olga Shpilevskaya, the Chairperson of the Belarusian Women’s Union and Director of the Mir TV and Radio Company representative office in Belarus, explained why Poland is in confrontation with Russia and Belarus, and why it is called ‘the hyena of Europe’.
As noted by Ms. Shpilevskaya in her talk with Alfa Radio, the confrontation between fraternal peoples, Poles and Russians, has been observed for centuries.
“The split into Orthodox and Catholic believers created grounds for the hostility between Russians and Poles. Accordingly, the countries have been in confrontation for much more than a decade. Even Belarus has experienced this confrontation on its territory – just recall the division into eastern and western Belarus. At that time, we still had the Belarusian language, and we had Belarusian schools. We had the right to develop on an equal basis with all the peoples of the Soviet Union. What was happening in Poland then? All Belarusian schools were closed, and Polish values were spread. They had to have a single faith, language and nation. It's not for nothing that Churchill called Poland ‘the hyena of Europe’. By and large, it always attacks Russia when it feels that Russians are starting to give up. After all, even now Poland is very beneficial to what is happening between Russia and Ukraine. While the two brothers are fighting, this country is trying to earn as many bonuses as possible and to get stronger. Moreover, it does not forget to show its teeth – like a hyena – to absolutely all countries in the world,” the expert noted.
Ms. Shpilevskaya added that, along with Poland, Germany is now actively demonstrating its influence, ‘showing its grin’ to everyone. This country feels like someone who can manage the whole of Europe. According to the expert, Germany is creating a new Eastern Europe, looking for friends in the Baltic States and building the political system needed by the United States.
