Russian top diplomat: Eurasian Charter of Multipolarity and Diversity, initiated by Belarus, open to entire continent

At a press conference dedicated to the results of the Russian diplomacy in 2024, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised Belarus for its efforts to create the Eurasian security architecture

Answering the journalists’ questions, the Russian Foreign Minister noted his country’s support for the Belarusian initiative on security in the Eurasian continent and noted the openness of the project for other participants.

“The process is open to all countries located on our Eurasian continent without exception,” he said.

The Russian Foreign Minister also reported on the drafting of the Eurasian Charter of Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st century, “In October 2024, the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security was convened, where, members of the governments of Serbia and Hungary were present, showing interest in this concept. And the Belarusians as hosts and initiators of this conference are now working to make it a regular event. This decision has already been taken. And we supported their initiative to develop a draft Eurasian Charter of Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st Century for the next conference.”
