Expert: China concerned about its security issues now

The People’s Republic of China is very concerned about its security and there is an aggravation of relations with the United States – as stated by political scientist Yuri Shevtsov when discussing the theses of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China

The expert explained his point of view, “China is very concerned about its security issues. They hardly resolved the issue with Hong Kong: a couple of years ago, there was an attempted colour revolution, which was prevented. Its goal was to spread from Hong Kong to mainland China. Now, there is an aggravation of relations between China and the United States regarding Taiwan. Apparently, this confrontation with America will intensify. Moreover, there are still a lot of problems that did not exist before. Today they are sharp, as was voiced at the Congress of the Communist Party in Xi Jinping’s report.”

The political expert stressed that analysts see a general trend in China’s development: it is preparing for a deep confrontation with the United States. Mr. Shevtsov believes that the Chinese Communist Party raised the issue of preparing for this confrontation at the congress.

The expert added that the United States has formed a new and rather dangerous military bloc, AUKUS, where an arms race against China is unfolding.
