Minsk City Executive Committee: 30% of Belarusian capital’s revenues generated by private enterprises

Private companies generate 30 percent of revenues in the Minsk budget, First Deputy Chairperson of Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Lazarevich told the STV TV channel

“Last year, we fulfilled all the indicators, including with good dynamics. In terms of retail turnover and provision of services, the gross regional product was being fulfilled. In principle, a systematic work is currently underway, which was built in previous years, and we have a reserve in the form of economic entities. In addition, more than 1 thousand new organisations were registered in 2024 alone,” Ms. Lazarevich said.

She drew attention to the fact that 30 percent of the revenues in the Minsk budget is generated by private enterprises.

“Accordingly, we have a lot of business entities that are not afraid to invest their resources in development, in technology, so we have a sufficient earning yield in the city budget to build the metro and social sphere to develop,” the official commented.

She drew attention to the fact that investments come to the Belarusian capital from different countries. For example, a unique enterprise for the production of medicines has been recently opened, with investments coming from Bulgaria. China, the United Arab Emirates, and Russia are also injecting in the Belarusian facilities.
