EU extended anti-Russian sanctions until February 24th, 2024

The Council of the European Union approved the decision to extend anti-Russian restrictions until February 24th next year, TASS reports to the corresponding resolution already published in the Official Journal of the European Union

It is clarified that the decision comes into force the day after it is published.

According to the EU Foreign Policy Service, 1,386 individuals from the Russian Federation and 171 Russian companies are now included in the sanctions list.

Many European politicians recognise that the EU member states primarily suffer from the anti-Russian sanctions they have imposed. At the same time, Moscow has managed to successfully cope with the sanctions pressure. For example, earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki agreed with the statement that the restrictions imposed against Russia do not have the proper effect.
