Environmental pollution under discussion with Belarus’ participation in Nairobi
The 6th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) is being held in Nairobi (Kenya) from February 26th to March 1st, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Embassy in Kenya
The Belarusian delegation – represented by Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Khudyk, Ambassador of Belarus to Kenya, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to UNEP Pavel Vzyatkin, officials from the Embassy and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection – is taking part in the session in the face-to-face format and via videoconferencing.
"UNEA-6 will focus on how multilateralism will help cope with the triple planetary crisis of climate change, loss of the natural environment and biodiversity, as well as environmental pollution and waste," the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kenya said in a statement.
The session participants plan to adopt a number of important resolutions and declarations aimed at solving environmental problems.
