According to Profi.Travel portal, new rules for visiting the country were introduced by Decree No. 320 of the Transport Minister on November 4th. As explained by the Adviser on Tourism at the Embassy of Cuba in Russia, Juan Carlos Escalona, the rules apply only to flights, and they do not apply to crew members and transit passengers.

“The form itself has been in effect for almost a year, and it was initially called a sanitary questionnaire. It replaces a QR code and all paper migration and customs declarations that existed previously. It is now mandatory for all passengers," the diplomat explained.

The deadlines for filling out the form have also changed: travellers should send information within 48 hours before departure – instead of 72 hours in the past.

After filling out the questionnaire, a passenger receives a QR code with all information, and it can be presented to the airline in an electronic or paper form.

Moreover, thirty minutes of free Wi-Fi are provided by all Cuban airports to make changes to the form, if necessary.

So far, the questionnaire is available in English and Spanish, but Russian, German and French will soon be added.
