Chupris about guarantees outlined in draft Constitution
The draft Constitution lays the key foundations of society and the state, Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration, Olga Chupris, told BelTA YouTube channel
“There is not much time left before we come to the referendum and vote for the draft that we have been working on for a long time. It seems to me, there are issues that are vital for all of us as members of the Belarusian society. Firstly, the draft submitted to the nationwide referendum lays the key foundations on which our state and our society are based. We not only declare that, for example, we have a social and just state that will develop, that is independent and we will strengthen this independence, but also the fact that these positions – that I have formulated – find their development in the Constitution,” noted Olga Chupris. “I spoke about the preamble. All these key positions which are dear to every Belarusian who would like to defend them, to defend the independence of the Republic of Belarus, find their further reinforcement in the Constitution in sections 1, 2, 3 and further on.”
The Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration said that the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the history of the Belarusian nation is important for us. “We are also consolidating, strengthening and fixing all these. For us – as a society that puts a person at the forefront – it is important to consolidate additional guarantees for the exercise of the rights that we provide and guarantee their enforcement at the constitutional level. Finally, family is the basis of our society. For us, this is extremely important. Therefore, there are guarantees for the preservation of the family, its values, families with children, families which have persons with disabilities, in principle, groups that belong to young people. All these things are stipulated,” she stressed.
