China unveiled logo and programme of its SCO presidency
The People’s Republic of China has unveiled the logo and programme for its 2024-2025 SCO rotating presidency, sb.by reports citing the Chinese Embassy in Belarus
In the centre of the circular logo is the SCO emblem, surrounded by the slogan of the Chinese presidency in three languages – Chinese, Russian and English – and reading: Upholding the Shanghai Spirit: SCO on the Move. The edge of the logo is decorated with patterns often found on bronze items from the Chinese historical periods of Chunqiu and Zhanguo (770-221 BC).
Commenting on the presentation of the logo, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning spoke about the events planned within the framework of the country’s SCO presidency this year.
“China will hold more than 40 profile meetings, including the fruitful SCO Friendship and Unity Summit. The SCO Political Parties Forum, the Forum on Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development, the Civil Friendship Forum, the Forum on Friendship Cities, the International Investment and Trade Fair, the SCO Film Festival and other large-scale events are also scheduled,” Mao Ning said.
