Belarus to sell 800+ elevators to Armenia this year

Belarus will supply more than 800 elevators to Armenia in 2023 – as informed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia, Aleksandr Konyuk, in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel

Speaking of the export potential, the diplomat noted that Armenia is interested in construction services. “We are ready to provide them. Our construction companies are ready to come to the Armenian market. Belarusians have high-level competencies, and the most important project that has already begun to be implemented is co-operation with Mogilevliftmash. We will deliver more than 800 elevators to Armenia this year, and this is an official step. We have won tenders and are now delivering these elevators in stages. Yerevan uses mainly Belarusian elevators, since we have a very strong dealer there,” Mr. Konyuk said.

The parties initially discussed the issue of maintenance, but a joint venture specialising in production of Belarusian elevators was established in Yerevan. According to the diplomat, the Armenian market is in need of about 4,000 elevators.

“Another branch will open in the Vayots Dzor Region, near the city of Jermuk. We also plan to create a tractor plant assembly facility. It is very difficult to do, but we are moving in this direction,” Mr. Konyuk said.
