In early November, several major business events with participation of Belarusian manufacturers will take place in Almaty. National pavilions of the Republic will be presented as part of major industry exhibitions of Kazakhstan in the field of food and packaging, agricultural technologies and engineering. The Belarus – Kazakhstan Agricultural Forum will also be held to enable professionals from the two states to get all the necessary information on bilateral co-operation and trade.

As informed by Belinterexpo, Belarusian companies’ participation in practical business events will make it possible to establish direct contacts with importers and distributors, while signing contracts and increasing exports to Kazakhstan.

The venue has been chosen not by chance: Almaty is the country’s main business and financial centre where headquarters of the largest banks, major scientific institutions (including Kazakhstan’s National Academy of Sciences) and leading universities are located. In addition, the key business partners of Belarusian enterprises and points of further distribution of import-export flows are situated in Almaty which is known as the southern capital of the country.

It is expected that over 350 companies from 25 countries will take part in the expositions. Belarus, Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, South Korea, as well as more than 25 regions of the Russian Federation will feature their national stands. The exhibitions will be held with support of the Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan, the Almaty City Administration, industry unions and associations.

Participants of the Belarusian business delegation will also take part in a range of professional and business events. As reported by Belinterexpo, Belarusian specialists traditionally visit production and trading enterprises of the region, while taking part in an information seminar-consultation to study the local market and its price conditions. This helps them gain valuable practical knowledge and develop the most effective negotiation strategies at the stand.

As part of the major Belarus – Kazakhstan Agricultural Forum, representatives of sectoral ministries and departments, heads of enterprises, experts and specialists will share views with an aim of forming a practical roadmap to develop agricultural trade between the two countries, strengthen liaisons, build logistics chains and practical work schemes. A matchmaking centre will also work as part of the forum to enable Belarusian and Kazakhstani participants to find business partners in accordance with their sphere of interests.

Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise act as the forum organisers.
