Belarus, Sudan seek to deepen bilateral relations
Trade-economic relations between Belarus and Sudan should acquire a new meaning – as stated by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to the Republic of Belarus Mohammed Omer Musa Ali
Leonid Zayats noted that in previous years he had repeatedly visited Sudan. Belarusian-Sudanese liaisons have always been based on political support, openness, mutual respect and mutual economic interests.
“There were a lot of proposals for the development of mutual trade and economic relations in industry, agriculture, energy, education, medicine, etc. We managed to progress in the supplies of our industrial goods – our giants MAZ, MTZ, and Amkodor,” he said.
Leonid Zayats stated that Sudan is now going through difficult times.
“We sincerely wish the Sudanese people peace and stability. The positions of our states on many international and regional issues coincide. We provide mutual support in international organisations and support each other in difficult moments. We highly appreciate the achieved level of interaction with the Republic of Sudan and strive to deepen our bilateral relations.”
The Deputy PM stressed that Belarus is ready to continue collaboration across all areas identified as promising: industrial co-operation, agriculture, energy, medicine and education.
