Ambassador: Tajikistan's trading house to open in Minsk
A trading house of Tajikistan is planned to open in Minsk – as informed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus, Bakhtovar Safarzoda, during his recent meeting with the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko
In particular, the diplomat stressed that the fraternal relations of the presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan set the tone for bilateral co-operation. At the same time, the potential of economic co-operation between the countries has not yet been fully used. “This really does not meet the level of our co-operation, strategic partnership, which we would like. In 2023, there have been a 15-20 percent increase in trade turnover, but new projects, a new format of interaction indicate that the figure should be at least 2-3 times more. One of the proposals, which would contribute to a more serious increase in trade turnover and financial and economic co-operation, is to create a trading house of Tajikistan in Minsk. Talks are already underway at the appropriate level," he said.
Mr. Safarzoda also stressed that Belarus and Tajikistan enjoy a great potential in the tourism sector.
