Ambassador of Palestine on Belarusian Written Language Day: holidays of the kind are very important

Holidays such as Belarusian Written Language Day are of great importance – as noted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Madbuh, as he visited the celebrations hosted by Gorodok

According to the diplomat, the holiday was perfectly organised and impressed him greatly, “The city is very beautiful, and people here are nice. The sunny weather was especially pleasing. We also have similar holidays in Palestine: Arabic Written Language Day and Day of Culture. By the way, they are not celebrated in all countries, so Belarus and Palestine can be viewed as rare states that understand the value of such holidays – which are really very important: they give an opportunity to get acquainted with the national culture and traditions of the country, to better understand the people’s worldview. Thank you for inviting us, we are always happy to come. Personally, I am always glad, and I will always visit such holidays. You have a beautiful country, good people. Take care of yourself!”

Ahmed Mohammed Al-Madbuh added that he came to Belarus a year ago and sincerely admired the country, “I want to say [to Belarusians] that you are great! Your country has managed to preserve all the good things from Soviet times. You have saved your country, and I believe that this is primarily the merit of your President, Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko, who has made great efforts to achieve this goal. If you look at some other post-Soviet countries, they have lost almost everything. Meanwhile, you can be envied: Belarus offers free education and medicine – and this stands high!”
