WWII participant became UK’s oldest skydiver

In the UK, World War II veteran Manette Baillie celebrated her 102nd birthday with a record-breaking parachute jump, TASS reports

The Daily Telegraph reported that the woman made a jump with an instructor from a height of over 2.1 thousand metres from an airplane, thus becoming the oldest skydiver in the United Kingdom.

Ms. Baillie served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service in the Second World War.

As noted, the centenarian celebrated her 100th birthday behind the wheel of a Ferrari driving around Silverstone at a speed of 130mph (over 200km/h).
