Chinese Ambassador: I was happy to see place where your President – a great man, personality of global scale – was born
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan has visited the Mogilev Region for the first time. His acquaintance with the region began with a visit to the agro-town of Alexandria in the Shklov District, where the diplomat visited the museum school where Aleksandr Lukashenko studied, and the Trofimova Krinitsa [the spring well].
“I have been in Minsk for three months, and this is my first trip outside the capital. I chose the Mogilev Region precisely because Aleksandr Grigorievich was born here,” Zhang Wenchuan noted. “A very interesting excursion, a quiet, beautiful place where a great man – a personality of world scale – was born, lived, went to school. We will definitely come here again. Belarus is our strategic partner. Our countries are actively liaising across all areas: from the economy to culture, including at the interregional level.”
According to the diplomat, in recent years, partnership relations have been established between the Mogilev Region and five regions of China, which have already borne the first fruits.
“The embassy will play the role of a kind of bridge between our regions and countries. We will tell our businessmen and potential investors about the potential of your region and Belarus, so that the co-operation could grow stronger. Belarus is developing dynamically under Aleksandr Lukashenko’s leadership, and we, as true friends, sincerely rejoice at your successes,” the diplomat concluded.
