Vostok strategic command and staff exercises announced by Russia’s Defence Ministry

The Vostok drills will be held under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia from August 30th to September 5^th – as informed by the Russian Defence Ministry, TASS reports

The exercises will be held jointly with the troops of the Eastern Military District. Some airborne forces, long-range aviation and military transport aviation will be involved in the drills, in addition to military contingents of other countries.

The military will practice the use of groups of troops (forces) in providing military security in the Eastern region.
