Voluntary Saturday work of Minsk police

On Saturday, law enforcement officers took part in a voluntary campaign to landscape the city

Thanks to policemen’s work, Minsk will become much greener in spring. Alleys of maples, oaks, ash trees, as well as beautiful landscape compositions will decorate the Belarusian capital. Employees of the Zavodskoi police department will also have their own alley and its Deputy Head, Yuri Lobanov, explained, “Our guys have planted 50 maples along the Minsk Ring Road. We’ll further follow how the trees will be growing.”

A friendly team is the key to a successful work, believes Anastasia Moskolenko, a patrol officer from the Sovetsky police department. “We’ve gathered here on our day off to landscape the territory. Thanks to the atmosphere in the team, our work is going smoothly. We all work closely together and voluntary Saturday working days of the kind are a pleasure for us,” she noted.

The Head of Minsk’s Moskovsky District Administration, Tatiana Kolyadko, thanked law enforcement officers for their help, “We are glad to see these young and strong guys who help us beautify the Moskovsky residential district. The participation of policemen jointly with the district administration has enabled us to complete the planned amount of work.”

Campaigns of the kind are already a tradition for Minsk policemen – which is very important since each participant contributes to the way the city looks.
