Volodin said unleashing a war against Russia is a huge mistake of Washington and Brussels
Unleashing a war against the Russian Federation was a huge mistake of Washington and Brussels – as noted by Speaker of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin, RIA Novosti reports
As Volodin noted, time has shown that the stake on the transfer of NATO weapons to Kiev did not work.
“The vaunted Leopard tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles and other Western vehicles burn, and burn very well,” he said.
The Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation drew attention to one more point: NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the bloc had begun training the Ukrainian military back in 2014.
“All this time they have been pumping up the Kiev criminal regime with weapons, preparing militants, mercenaries, nurturing and fuelling Russophobia. This was done to stop the development of Russia, and then to destroy our country,” Volodin explained.
According to him, by the decision to launch a special operation, Russian leader Vladimir Putin prevented NATO from realising ‘criminal plans’.
