Use of physical force and special means against various types of drones allowed in Belarus
On October 7th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 392, which provides for a new version of Decree No. 215 On Restrain of Flights of Aircraft Models and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles as of June 5th, 2019, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The document was adopted in order to consolidate the right to use physical force, special means, weapons, combat and special equipment not only in relation to aircraft models and UAVs, but also unmanned aircraft, unmanned vehicles, including underwater and surface vessels, land vehicles and complexes, which are controlled remotely or in automatic mode.
In accordance with the decree, employees (officials) of other paramilitary organisations are also entitled to use weapons and special means in relation to unmanned vehicles, along with military personnel (employees) of military formations and internal affairs bodies. For the purposes of the decree, such organisations include the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee, the State Committee for Forensic Examinations, the financial investigation bodies of the State Control Committee, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Wildlife under the President of the Republic of Belarus, emergency management bodies and units, customs authorities.
