USA, UK, France, Germany: de-escalation needed in Syria

Berlin, Washington, London, and Paris believe that all parties to the Syrian conflict must strive to de-escalate and ensure the safety of civilians, according to a joint statement by the UK, Germany, the US, and France published by the US Department of State on December 1st, TASS reports

The statement says the respective countries are closely watching the events in Syria and ‘urge de-escalation by all parties and the protection of civilians and infrastructure to prevent further displacement and disruption of humanitarian access’.
